Precautions about Maxalt

For adults and children taking Propranolol (a beta blocker), the recommended daily dosages for Maxalt are lower. The maximum dosage in any 24-hour period is 15mg (three 5mg tablets). For children weighing more than 88lb the dosage is restricted to one 5mg tablet per 24-hour period. Maxalt should not be given at all to youngsters weighing less than 88lb who are taking Propranolol.
