Cialis more popular among erectile dysfunction patients

Patients suffering from erectile dysfunction have a number of Canadian drugs to choose from, including Cialis. While not the most well-known name on the market, a recent article from AARP suggests that it may be the most popular among users.

Author Michael Castleman looked at 12 different studies - none of which were funded by drug companies - where males used Viagra and Cialis to see which they preferred. Overwhelmingly, the preference went to Cialis over its groundbreaking counterpart Viagra. The result was the same even when a lesser-known drug was thrown into the mix. Still, this begs the question: What's the difference?

Castleman cites as the No. 1 reason for Cialis coming out on top. Participants explained that this takes the pressure off, and allows for love making to occur naturally. As a result, Cialis is preferred not only by the men who use it, but also their spouses. That being said, Cialis and Viagra have a number of similarities.

In fact, the two drugs even have similar side effects. These include headache, upset stomach and nasal congestion in most users, according to the source. The 36-hour dosage of Cialis also includes potential side effects life back pain, muscle ache and flushing. Although, there is a daily use version of the medication from which users may experience diarrhea and dizziness as well.

It's important for users to note that if they suffer from diabetes, heart disease, or high cholesterol or blood pressure, the effectiveness of erectile dysfunction drugs may be reduced. However, when deciding between Viagra and Cialis, the latter may be preferable. Patients may also want to talk to their doctors about trying out the two to see which provides the most desirable results.
