Individuals who have diabetes may benefit from a prescription to buy Actos or other treatments that help them control their blood sugar levels, as new findings indicate that poor glucose management speeds the development of cognitive decline. For the study, a team of researchers from the University of California, San Francisco, tracked the health of a group of more than 3,000 adults over a 10-year period. About 24 percent of the participants had diabetes at the beginning and end of the study. The researchers assessed participants' cognitive function at the outset and conclusion of the investigation. The results showed that individuals who began the study with diabetes performed worse on tests of cognitive function at the beginning and end of the trial period than those who maintained strong metabolic healthy. Diabetics who had poorly managed blood sugar levels experienced the most rapid declines in cognitive function. The researchers wrote in their report, which was published in the Archives of Neurology, that the findings indicate that tight glucose management may help diabetics avoid the mental health deficits that may be associated with the condition. A prescription to buy Actos may support diabetics' blood sugar control. |
